IMPA was founded in 1978 by a group of senior purchasing executives in the shipping industry with the aim of promoting co-operation and understanding between purchaser and supplier and to improve the art, science and practice of marine purchasing in all applied forms.
A range of benefits exist for members from both the purchasing and supply sides of the industry and as a ‘not for profit’ organisation IMPA exists for the benefit of the industry it serves.
The Maritime e-Commerce Association is a ‘not-for-profit’ group of marine business and technical experts who are collectively committed to speeding up the process of marine-related business transactions through the development of application-to-application interoperability standards.
